After conquering the summit, return to the camp for another refreshing wild swim. In the evening, gather around the campfire for a delectable dinner and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow adventurers.

After a satisfying breakfast and coffee, we will pack up our campsite, load our kayaks, and get ready for the day's adventure. Embarking on an 18km paddle, we'll venture deeper into the fjord, surrounded by breathtaking views of cascading waterfalls and towering mountains. Arriving at our next campsite, we'll establish our shelter, indulge in a refreshing swim in the wilderness, and gather around a campfire for dinner. The evening will be spent enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the wild.

Day 4: Kayaking Adventure

Our day begins with a hearty breakfast and the aroma of fresh coffee. We dismantle our campsite and launch our kayaks into the water, embarking on a 12km journey across the Lysefjord. As we paddle, we pass by the historic farms of Kallali, nestled on the southern shore. These farms offer a glimpse into a cultural landscape dating back to the 1600s. Location

Nestled amidst majestic mountains that stand over 1,000 meters tall in southwestern Norway, Lysefjord, at 42 kilometers in length, is a stunning fjord. Embark on a week-long adventure in this stunning location, where you'll witness breathtaking scenery, including crystal-clear expansive fjords, impressive cliff faces, cascading waterfalls, and charming mountain goats. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of Lysefjord.

Kayaking

During our week-long adventure on Lysefjord, we'll spend every day kayaking, covering distances up to 21 km, except for the final day. Even if you have no prior experience, our instructors will guide you through everything you need to know, and the stable kayaks will ensure a smooth paddling experience. We'll maintain a relaxed pace, with ample breaks to admire the captivating scenery.

Our kayaking journey will take us past enchanting islands and inlets, beneath cascading waterfalls, and through some of the most stunning fjordland landscapes imaginable. We'll likely encounter seals and sea eagles as we paddle. Additionally, the crystal-clear fjord waters will provide ample opportunities for invigorating wild swimming.

HIKING

During our six-day trip, two of the days will be dedicated to hiking along scenic local trails. These hikes will provide breathtaking views of the mountains flanking the fjord as we climb hundreds of feet above sea level. Rated from moderate to challenging, the hikes involve up to eight hours of trekking with day packs, scrambling over rocky terrain, and navigating exposed areas where a strong head for heights is essential.

A highlight of the trip is our journey to Kjeragbolten, where the challenging climb rewards us with unparalleled views and the thrilling sight of adventurers daring to step onto the iconic boulder suspended over a vast abyss.

During sections of our long day hikes, you'll engage in basic scrambling. Scrambling is a blend of hiking and climbing that involves using both hands and feet to ascend rocky faces and ridges. It's less technical than climbing but more challenging than hiking, often involving navigating steep, rocky sections where ropes are not typically necessary.

CAMPING

On our adventure, we will engage in a unique camping experience for four nights in remote locations. While basic toilet facilities will be available, there won't be showers or running water, immersing us completely in the wilderness.

For your comfort, we provide tents and sleeping mats. Additionally, you have the option of renting a sleeping bag from us.

On our final night, we will stay in a basic yet cozy cabin, marking a comfortable end to our journey.

Prior camping experience is not required for this adventure. Although first-timers might find the continuous outdoor living a bit challenging, a positive attitude can make it entirely manageable.

FOOD

Throughout your 6-day adventure, all your meals will be provided. This includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the highlight being our bubbling campfire dinners that we'll cook together. We endeavor to serve freshly prepared meals whenever possible, though some meals may be supplemented with dehydrated expedition meals. These simple yet hearty meals will provide you with the necessary fuel for your journey.

With a little advance notice, we can accommodate any dietary needs you may have. Simply let us know at the time of booking, and we'll ensure that your requirements are met.
